I have personally watched the marine life grow and thrive since the Rāhui came into place in 2010 and it is definitely the top spot!

The Bay of Islands Has some 144 outstanding beautiful islands with emerald coloured waters off the Eastern coast of Northland, New Zealand. Our snorkelling trip cruise past many of these to get out to our snorkelling spots so we enjoy giving you commentary a long the way of this idyllic place.
Our focus is snorkelling in Deep Water Cove (Maunganui Bay) on the Cape Brett Peninsula, which is very well known for its clarity of water – even up to 20 metres at times. Our vessel Pelorus Belle will get us there easily in an enjoyable 35-minute journey. Take lots of photos, spot some awesome bird life, dolphins or just relax in the sunshine during your comfortable passage through the stunning scenery.

We had a wonderful time, My two children were absolutely amazed by all the sea creatures they were able to see and swim with. It was such an exciting and memorable experience for them.
My husband and I have much less snorkeling experience, but Tammy and Scott were incredibly patient and supportive. They took great care of us, helping us slowly build up our confidence so we could join in and enjoy the experience together.
Everything was very well organised. We were provided with dry suits, and after snorkeling we could enjoy hot showers and warm soup, which was such a thoughtful touch.
I highly recommend Bay of Islands Snorkelling to anyone visiting the area. Tammy and Scott offer such warm hospitality, and the ocean views are absolutely beautiful. It’s truly a special experience that everyone should try if they have the chance.
