Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know how to swim to snorkel?
For the experience to be amazing a sense of confidence in the water is helpful, but if you want to do something new, let us know when booking and we would more than happy to give you that new experience, and we will make you feel good in the water with flotation aids and a calm environment to try.

Please feel free to contact us for any future inquiries at info@boisnorkelling.co.nz for any inquiries, please be aware that we don’t have an office and I am often out of cellphone coverage, so you may not get a response straight away, but I do check the emails each night, or text me a message of your interest.
What is your policy with COVID-19?
COVID-19 We welcome everybody to come Snokelling as it is an outdoor activity, but ask that if you have tested positive in the last 7 days or you feel unwell with cold or flu like symptoms to not join our trip. Our gear after use is washed carefully in a bleach solution and then sprayed with Viruclear™ which is a hospital grade broad spectrum surface sanitiser and the interior of the boat has all contact surfaces cleaned in between trips.
What is your cancellation/bad weather policy?
Mother Nature can provide all sorts of challenges and can dictate where we can go with our trips. Bay of Islands Snorkelling reserves the right to cancel the trip or change the snorkelling site for safety reasons. Any trip cancelled by Bay of Islands Snorkelling due to adverse weather conditions will be fully refunded. We watch the weather all the time so will get in contact with you to talk.
- Customer cancellations within 24 hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
